The sun is shining outside, the ice is quickly melting, it would be a perfect day to be outside starting spring yardwork.  But here I am stuck on the couch.   I was diagnosed last week with a placenta previa and I can only do limited activites until the placenta decides to migrate to a better place.  It is so hard to sit still when the sky is a perfect blue and it is finally starting to be warm.I am trying to be a good sport about this, after all I know it is the best thing for the baby.  But it is harder than you might think to keep “recumbent”  all day!On a different note, I have been able to read quite a bit.   I just finished “Eat, Pray, Love” by Elizabeth Gilbert (www.elizabethgilbert.com) and really enjoyed it.  Although I know I will never make a journey like hers I did take away a few pearls of wisdom  that I hope to incorporate into my own life.

I am starting this blog at the age of 32, while I am 22 weeks pregnant with my second son.  There is something about being pregnant and having small children that makes me want to stop and record the little things that make life so special right now and that I know I will forget to share with the boys as they get bigger.   So here is my record of a simple life, at Lake Dawn in the foothills of the Olympic Mountains.
